The sculpture, by eleven members of the Hungarian-Italian Fondéria Art Society, will be inaugurated by Rome?s Mayor Gianni Alemanno and Mayor Zsolt Páva of the Hungarian city of Pécs in the De Sanctis villa statue park in Rome?s Casilino district.
The inauguration will be attended by head of Fondéria Pál Németh, the artists, superintendent of cultural heritage of the City of Rome Umberto Broccoli, director of the Hungarian Academy in Rome Péter E. Kovács and scientific director Éva Vígh.
The bronze and steel sculpture, entitled Homage to Amerigo Tot ? Hundred, was erected in Pécs in 2008, but its creators offered it to Rome on the occasion of the centennial.
