Present at the opening of the show was the society?s chairman, Tamás Oláh, deputy head Éva Nyerges, as well as a number of exhibiting artists and even more MEPs, among them the sponsor Csaba Őry.

Szájer recalled that the Folyamat Society had organised an exhibition in the European Parliament five years earlier, around the time of its 40th show. The society does not organise exhibitions based on artistic branches, they have no manifesto, rather their exhibitions are organised for the joy of the exhibitors, he added.

The society has represented every segment of the arts, from painting to architecture, sculpture to tapestry, photography to cinematography, Szájer said.

The Folyamat Society was established by the painter Ildikó Simsay in 1991 with the aim of bringing artists from all branches of the arts closer together.

The pianist János Balázs, winner of the 2005 Liszt Ferenc International Piano Competition, performed at the event.
