Though a relatively new venue, SÍN has a well known reputation for excellence: two young Lábán Prize-winners - Anna Réti and Klári Pataky -- have worked and performed at the centre, and it recently hosted a performance by the outstanding Nomade~s of Japan.
The festival will start - on Earth Day - with two environmentally-aware performances by the Hints Project.
SÍN will show an average of two dance performances every evening during the festival. Dream Team, with members Klári Pataky, Zoltán Nagy, Andrea Nagy and Csilla Nagy (who just won the audience prize at the Stuttgart Solo Festival), will perform, as will Coffein Projects, with István Puttó Juhos, Rita Góbi, Kata Dombi and the pair of Zsuzsa Rózsavölgyi and Tamás Bakó. Kata Juhász will bring old and new solo performances to the festival.
Foreign guests will include Teatr Gretoncaffe from Poland, who will bring their performance Slam In, which features dance together with live music and recitation.
Dance films shown in past years at the BuSho (Budapest Short Film) Festival, will also be on the Gesture programme.
