Submissions in the sociological study category must deal with a representative aspect of societal life in the present or the recent past. Submissions may make use of the elements of a sociological study, report or case study. They should be about as long as a journal article.
In the photo category, submissions of up to five, previously unpublished, photos or two series of photos which show today?s society, its life situations and idiosyncrasies will be accepted.
In the film category, documentary films showing changing society, either in Hungary or in other countries, will be accepted. Films must be no longer than one hour in length, and they must not have been submitted in any other competitions.
The submitted applications will be assessed by a jury of professionals. The best will be presented at the association?s conference in November. The winning applicants will be recgonised with a certificate and their submissions posted on the association?s home page. The submissions will also be recommended by the association for publication.
Applicants must include with their submissions their name, the name of the submission and how they may be reached. Written submissions may be sent by post, on a computer disc or CD-ROM in MS-Word format or as an email attachment. Photos may be submitted in A4-sized enlargements or on CD-ROM or DVD. Films must be sent on DVD by post.
The deadline for submission is September 15, 2006.
