?Mr. Szabo? is Santana?s homage to the Hungarian jazz guitarist and composer Gabor Szabo, whose song ?Gypsy Queen? he fused with Peter Green?s ?Black Magic Woman? on the album Abraxas.
Another number, ?Macumba in Budapest?, was written together with Santana?s producer Walter Afanasieff. The song is a classic Santana Latin jam with Raul Rekow on congo and Karl Perazzo on drums.
Santana has played in Hungary a dozen times.
