Spanish Short Takes Top Prize at BuSho

The international jury granted the Gold BuSho to Camcho?s film ?for an original way of depicting human nature?.
 
The international jury, which comprised the French director Djinn Carrénard, Riina Mikkonen of the Tampere Film Festival, director of the Belgrade Youth Media Centre Miomir Rajcevic, the Hungarian director Ágnes Kocsis and permanent member Wolfgang Leis, gave the Silver BuSho to Anca Miruna Lazarescu for ?Silent River?, acknowledging ?a realistic, emotional and balanced representation of solidarity?.
 
The Bronze BuSho went to the Guilhad Emílio Schenker?s ?White? for ?creating a coherent metaphorical world?.
 
?Ariadne?s Thread?, directed by Attila Bertóti, was named Best Animation, and the prize for best experimental film went to ?Track32?, directed by István Illés.
 
The prize for best idea/screenplay was presented to András György Dési and Gábor Móray for ?The Last Picture?.
 
Dávid Hartung took the prize for best cinematography for his work in ?Forest?, directed by György Mór Kárpáti.
 
?The Idiot?, directed by Francois Paquay, was named Best Comedy.
 
The actors Ruth Armas and Fran Rodríguez Castillo took the prize for best performance for their roles in ?The Screamers?.
 
Budapest?s Vörösmarty cinema hosted BuSho between August 30 and September 3.
