The company will perform Puccini?s Tosca with three casts in sixteen of Japan?s best and largest venues. Gyöngyi Lukács, Eszter Sümegi, Szilvia Rálik and Gabriella Felber will sing the title role, and a Japanese singer will also appear on stage. Scarpia will be played by Anatolij Fokanov and Béla Perencz, and Cavaradossi by István Kovácsházi and Attila Fekete. The performances will be conducted by János Kovács and Gergely Kesselyák. The choir director is Máté Szabó Sipos.
About 150 people will travel with the company, including the orchestra, the choir and support staff. The children?s chorus of the opera will be sung in each city by a different local choir. The members of the Tosca tour will return to Hungary on November 6. However, chorus director János Kovács and singer Szilvia Rálik, together with the orchestra, will remain in Japan for an additional two weeks to play more concerts.
