Students from 31 Countries Attend Hungarology Course

Students from the 15 member states of the European Union, as well as from South Korea, Egypt, Mongolia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, Yemen and the USA will attend the four-week programme with the support of the Hungarian Scholarship Committee.

 
In addition to attending a Hungarian language course, they will learn about Hungarian history and culture and attend cultural events, programme director at the Balassi Institute Melinda Garay said.
 
Subjects covered will include history, literature, music, fine arts, film and gastronomy.
 
Participants will take trips to Lake Balaton, Veszprém and Szentendre, and go on a wine-tasting tour.
 
The folk dance ensemble of the Kodolányi János College will invite the participants to a dance show and seminar.
 
Instruction will be in English, but there will also be lectures for Hungarian speakers, Orsolya Hoffmann of the Kodolányi János College said.
 
The summer university will run through August 13.
