(MTI) - In the baroque Chateau Grassalkovich an exhibition featuring the rulers of the Habsburg dynasty will open just as the first EU Presidency meeting is taking place within days, said Csaba Peterfi said.
In the palace's VIP lounge and other rooms works by local artists will be put on display from the collection of the Museum of Godollo.
Godollo's sister cities will be presented in a show the media centre will host in the House of Arts, another presidency venue. Here visitors can see paintings on loan for instance from Germany's Giessen, Finland's Forssa, Slovakia's Dunajska Streda, Belgium's Turnhout, the Czech Republic's Brandys and Labem-Stara Boleslav or Indonesia's Bogor museums.
In the interval of meetings students of the Godollo Frederic Chopin music school will give performances to entertain guests.
Several of the events will coincide with programmes of Godollo's Baroque Year, Peterfi said.
