The new exhibition will focus on local farming activities, such as the growing of peppers to make paprika, and small industry, including the city's renown for slippers and knives, as well as folk traditions and architecture.
The more than HUF 40 million cost of the exhibition was covered entirely by grant money.
The old permanent exhibition, Folk Art of Csongrád County, which opened in 1991, closed at the end of February.
