The festival will include on its programme more than 50 films previously not shown in Hungary.
Last year's festival presented more than 50 feature films. Guests at the festival included filmmakers Todd Solondz, Luis Mandoki, Marton Csokas, Paprika Steen and Bruce Beresford. The festival?s main prize, the Silver Apple, went to The "Death of Mr. Lazarescu", a Romanian picture directed by Cristi Puiu, who will be a member of the festival?s jury this year. Mari Törőcsik and Miklós Jancsó also received lifetime achievement awards last year.
The festival will open and close at Székesfehérvár's newly reconstructed and expanded Vörösmarty Theatre. Showings will also take place at the Barátság Club Cinema.
