2002 és 2004 után újra Magyarországon a világhírű francia társulat,
a Ballet Preljocaj!
T, mint tánc. L, mint látvány. P, mint Preljocaj. N, mint...? Egy világhírű koreográfus, két kiváló multimédiaművész és 12 táncos találkozása az "N".
A 2004-ben született darab címe a világhírű koreográfus, Angelin Preljocaj szerint szándékosan félrevezető: a lehető legkevesebbet árul el a darabról. Ám a létrehozók személye annál beszédesebb: az albán származású Preljocaj, aki 1985-ben alapította meg saját társulatát, és azóta többször is körbejárta velük a világot; valamint a Granular Synthesis tagjai: Kurt Hentschläger és Ulf Langheinrich, akik a látványt és a hangokat próbálják egyetlen médiummá gyúrni.
Technika és tánc találkozása kivételes pillanatokat teremt: a Granular Synthesis teremtette egyedi hangkulisszában mesterien mozog a társulat 12 táncosa, meg- és átélhetővé téve azt a világot, amely ugyan néha távolinak, sőt egyenesen virtuálisnak tűnhet számunkra, mégis kegyetlenül valódi.
Az előadás a Ballet Preljocaj és a Granular Synthesis együttműködéséből született.
Az előadást erős hanghatások és stroboszkóp használata miatt nem ajánljuk gyerekek, várandós nők, epilepsziás betegek; valamint pace-makerrel és hallókészülékkel rendelkező látogatóinknak.

'"N" is the title which has been given to the work prepared with Ulf Langheinrich and Kurt Hentschlager. It is a "masked title" which purposefully does not express what is evoked in the work, which deals with the unspeakable, what is beyond description. Suffering, torment, humiliation, torture... the body as the primary vector for annihilation and destruction.
If what we are trying to say seems virtual and distant to a part of the world population, it is in fact quite close and cogently, sharply real.
It has spread throughout time from the very dawn of our existence to the present day, without interruption, reaching incandescent peaks of trouble. Its force is matched solely by our disbelief.' /Angelin Preljocaj/
The show comprises high sonic levels composed by bass frequencies and stroboscopics effects inadvisable for young children, pregnant women, epileptics people or ones who have pace maker and hearing aids.
GRANULAR SYNTHESIS is the fruit of the encounter between two multimedia artists, Kurt Hentschläger and Ulf Langheinrich, attempting to blend video and sound into one and the same medium. The concept of granular synthesis, from where stems their name, comes from the universe of sound synthesis. They have developed a whole range of tools, equipment and software which permits them to interact with video in the same way as a musician plays an instrument. Their works have since evolved towards complete audio-visual abstraction, breaking with materials coming from the real and to touch the grain of the video, the most intimate matter of digital imagery, in turn subjecting it to the same treatment as is habitually reserved for sound. Thus, the conceptual barrier between sound and image is abolished.
