The seven-hour Satan Tango (Sátántangó) had its Finnish premiere at the weekend, and Werckmeister Harmonies (Werckmeister harmóniák) was also on the programme.
Local paper Helsingin Sanomat quoted Tilda Swinton in its coverage of the event: a few years ago in Cannes the actress said "I see the future of film, and it is Béla Tarr."
The Tarr weekend was organised with the help of the Hungarian Cultural Institute in Helsinki.
