In the media and in the arts, there is just a single Hungarian-speaking area, though different parts of this area have their own peculiarities, Gáspárik said. There are regions in this area, but there is no separate Hungarian and Romanian-Hungarian theatre and media culture, he said.
"In any case, we have to think about a joint plan of action," Gáspárik said.
Gáspárik thanked his predecessors, András Csorba, Lajos Szabó, Levente Kovács, Miklós Tompa and András Béres, for laying the foundation for raising theatre education to a world-class level.
The school in Targu Mures has opened its doors to other countries in the past two year, Gáspárik said. About 10pc of the student body is from abroad and the school has applied to many foreign foundations for development money, he added.
