Three Hungarian documentaries at Krakow film festival

The Prayer

The two short films running for the Golden Dragon grand prize include Sandor Mohi's "The Prayer" and Marton Szirmai's "The Sinking Village".

 
Twenty-seven-minute "The Prayer" tells the story of the last five years of an old couple living in the countryside and keep on fighting for their daily bread.

The Sinking Village

The other film, 23-minute "The Sinking Village" is about the inexplicable sinking of a tiny Hungarian village despite efforts and hopes of locals.

 
The third feature-length documentary "I am Von Hoefler" by Peter Forgacs about the generations of a Hungarian tawer dynasty is competing within its category against 11 other films at the festival that closes on June 5.
