R.E.M. is touring to promote their new studio album, Accelerator, to be released on April 1. The album is produced by Jacknife Lee, who has worked for U2, Snow Patrol and Bloc Party.
R.E.M. has already played material from the album for audiences at live rehearsals in Dublin, and they say the new songs are some of the most energetic they have ever recorded.
On the same day as R.E.M performs, Germany's punk rock giants Die Ärzte will play. The group is returning to the festival for the third time.
