Tokio Hotel to Play Budapest

English

Tokio Hotel was formed five years ago in the German city of Magdeburg by twin brothers Bill (vocals) and Tom Kaulitz (guitar). Georg Listing ? born in 1987, the oldest member of the band ? plays bass, and Gustav Schaefer plays drums.

The band originally played under the name Develish and quickly formed a fan base in the region around Magdeburg. Later, they changed their name to Tokio Hotel and were invited to work with a group of professional producers and lyricists in Hamburg, including Peter Hoffmann, Pat Benzner, Dave Roth and David Jost, who have worked with artists such as Mötley Crüe, The Corrs and Falco.

The video for Tokio Hotel?s first single ?Durch den Monsun? (Through the Monsoon) was put in heavy rotation in 2005 and the song quickly climbed to the top of the charts. The band?s first album ?Schrei? (Scream) was followed up with a sold-out tour. The band has since gained a following in Austria, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

The Budapest show is being organised by Live Nation Hungary, formerly Multimédia Concerts. Tickets are available online from Ticketpro and at ticket offices around the country.
