During the course of the renovation, a new climate control system was installed, as was new plumbing and wiring. New, more comfortable seats were put in to give the main screening room capacity for 200 filmgoers and the smaller screening room capacity for 60.

Technical improvements, namely the installation of the E-Cinema system, will allow the film to show films in many digital formats in addition to the old 35mm prints. The Toldi will premiere the films in distributor Budapest Film's E-Cinema portfolio, including Sukiyaki Wester Django, Sleepwalking, You, The Living and Vexille. This year, 13 cinemas in Budapest and 20 outside of the capital will join the E-Cinema system.
