The organisers of the festival, which runs until August 1, received 59 submissions from 17 countries.
The films will be screened in Eger's Uránia Cinema.
A filmmaking workshop, organised with the cooperation of The Eszterházy College, will take place at the same time.
The festival, which takes its name from the "slow food" movement, aims to show that the "surface glitter reflected by commercials of the globalized world is not that shiny," says festival director Lajos Kiss. "Let us stop for a minute, think again in human way, notice beauty, discover nice, noble, human, morale again, let us dare to say 'There is Time!'".
