The festival, which the Trafó is hosting for the third year in a row, matches performance and visual artists to create a broad programme of theatre, dance, opera, installations, concerts and exhibitions. As part of the programme, young artists are assigned a space and a budget and are given a limited amount of time in which to create something for an audience.

As in earlier years, Budapest's Művész Cinema will show a series of films as part of the programme. Among this year's films are Thierry De Mey's rendering of William Forsythe's One Flat Thing, Reproduced, a dance film that oversteps the limits of genre and space with a radically new and audacious concept. The film will not disappoint those who believe in the formative and creative effect of art on reality. Also on the programme is Saburo Teshigawara's Para-dice, an attempt to find a new form of beauty, and Russel Maliphant's Voyage Transmission, Two (times five), One (part two), Flux, an examination of four choreographies and more than a decade of work.
