The festival, which the Trafó is hosting for the fifth year in a row, matches performance and visual artists to create a broad programme of theatre, dance, opera, installations, concerts and exhibitions. As part of the programme, young artists are assigned a space and a budget and are given a limited amount of time in which to create something for an audience.

Other partner institutions in Temps d'Images include Les Halles de Schaerbeek (Belgium), La Ferme du Buisson (France), Tanzhaus Düsseldorf (Germany), Artlink (Romania), Von Krahl Theater (Lithuania), Garajistambul (Turkey), Romaeuropa (Italy), Centrum Sztuki Wspólczesnej Zamek Ujazdowski (Poland), Duplacena (Portugal), and Usine C (Canada).

On the programme are "amazing pictures and thought-provoking pieces: new circus productions, live remix concerts, and special films from ARTE," Trafó says on its website.

The events on the Temps d'Images programme will be hosted by the Trafó, the Muvész Cinema, the Merlin Theatre and the French Institute.
