(MTI) - "Our call is a response to pledges that, gripped financially, the EU may be forced to scrap the individual funding of these programmes, which we oppose," Slovak Culture Minister Daniel Krajcer told a press conference after talks in Cerveny Kamen, near Bratislava. The four countries will also work closer on coordinating their cultural policies with the aim of maintaining stronger representation in the field at EU-level, the officials agreed.
At the talks Hungary was represented by State Secretary Geza Szocs, Poland by Culture Minister Bogdan Zdrojewski and the Czech Republic by Deputy Culture Minister Frantisek Mikes.
