Vaszary Villa in Balatonfüred Hosts International Art Exhibition

The symposium, entitled Nectar, started on July 6 and runs through Sunday. This year?s symposium reflected on the intellectual heritage of Hungarian writer, philosopher and essayist Béla Hamvas and the northern Balaton region, which was an inspiration for Hamvas, Sándor Újhelyi-Kovács said on behalf of the organiser Tölgy Cultural Association.
 
The artists worked in the atmospheric setting of the Török Villa built at the turn of the 20th century.
 
Five Hungarian, five Finnish and three Swedish painters and sculptors will put their works on display at the exhibition.
 
The exhibition will be opened by Finnish cultural attaché and director of the Finnagora Institute Leena Pasanen and Swedish cultural attaché Nina Lissvik.
 
The Orlando Chamber Choir will perform at the opening.
