The city's House of Arts and Literature is showing Chachipe, a selection of the best photographs from the Open Society Institute's contest, which aimed "to help combat visual stereotypes associated with Roma and to present the Roma people and Roma culture sensitively and artistically". More than 1,400 photographs were submitted by young people between the ages of 12 and 25 in the contest.
The House of Arts and Literature will also present an exhibition of theatre shoes and another of work by the textile and costume designer Júlia Justin.
The Community Centre is showing two exhibitions: one of work by set designers at the Kaposvár University's College of Arts and another by students at the Hungarian Visual Arts University called The Perfect Recipe.
An exhibition of work by the set and prop designer György Árvai, called Out of Time, shows a bridge between the past and the future in the city's main theatre.
