The website, at www.modern-history.eu, can be read in all of the languages of the V4 countries. It is intended to be used as an educational tool as well as for anybody simply interested in the region?s history.
PANT undertook a project last year that aimed to foster joint understanding and strengthen tolerance among young people in the V4 by making them more aware of the history of their neighbours.
This year, the association is trying to gradually expand and deepen its activities in the Visegrad region.
?Overview materials, instructional presentations, lesson plans and task sheets, and iconographic sources are under preparation,? said PANT staff member Petr Simicek. ?Bilateral cooperation and cooperation within the V4 is continuing, and an agreement has been reached under which we will organise meetings not only for teachers but for students,? he added.
PANT wants to involve more Hungarian middle schools in its projects in the future.
PANT?s staff member in charge of Hungarian contacts is Árpád Korpás. He can be reached at arpad.korpas@modern-history.eu
