Bartha?s project Nature in the City was among several picked by the representatives of the Romanian Cultural Institute and the organisers of the Cultural Olympiad.
Bartha said he applied to participate in the programme last year and was among just three artists from more than a hundred chosen by the jury. He added that the details still need to be worked out, but at least three of his works will be put on display in public spaces during the time London hosts the Olympic Games.
Bartha said the sculptures would be new forms, not yet seen by the public, as high as eight metres and as long as twelve metres.
Bartha?s work could be seen in the Hungarian capital during the 2008 Budapest Spring Festival.
