Köver called the parliament building a ?source of price for every Hungarian? and praised the UNESCO World Heritage programme for showing that global and local considerations can complement each other.
Let?s hope that the harmony of global and local values that UNESCO has promoted in the area of cultural policy will find followers in other fields, such as international economic relations, he said.
Kövér told Bokova the parliament building would be preserved with the greatest of care. The square in front of the parliament is being redesigned based on the original plans of the building?s architect, he added.
