The titles will compete for prizes totalling 8,000 euros in five categories: long feature, short fiction, documentary, animation and experimental works, said Peter Muszatics.
CineFest received the largest number of entries -- 150 films -- in the short fiction and experimental works categories, and 18 entries in the long features' section, he said.
In the documentary and animation categories a record number of 63 Hungarian titles have been summitted along with entries from 48 other countries.
The festival on September 14-21 will feature 27 productions in its special "Women in Images" section, focusing on women's issues.
