Young Hungarian Composer Wins Konzerthaus Contest

The piece, entitled Ach Gott und Herr, was originally composed for the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra. It will have its Vienna premiere, performed by the Wiener Kammer Orchester, on June 13.
 
The composer earlier won prizes for his work in contests organised by the Liszt Academy and the New Hungarian Music Forum.
 
Tornyai will graduate from the Liszt Academy in Budapest with degrees in violin and composition this year. He wants to take up post-graduate work when he is finished.
