The list of performers at this year's festival will include the best of Hungary's rock, metal and world music bands. Tankcsapda, Hooligans, Magna Cum Laude, Subscribe, Road, 6test and Depresszió will play on the main stage, while Bridge To Solace, Blind Myself, Pokolgép, Prosectura, The Idoru, Neck Sprain, Kaukázus and Rómeó Vérzik will appear on the Rock Stage. Balaton Music Wave Festival will also cater to world music fans, presenting acts such as Korai Öröm, Napra, Maszkura and Tücsökraj, Úzgin Üver, Testi Egyenleg, Club Era and Vágtázó Csodaszarvas.
The star performer on Thursday will be Epica, a symphonic metal band from the Netherlands. Epica has followed up the release of their first studio album, The Divine Conspiracy, with a concert recording made during a performance in the Hungarian city of Miskolc last year.
On Friday, Geoff Tyson, one the favourite students of Joe Satriani, will play the main stage.
