Kocsis will conduct his own transcriptions of Liszt piano pieces for orchestra as well as Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major -- with Kocsis a the piano and conducting, Bartók's Dance Suite and Kodály's Galánta Dances.
Kocsis is returning to the venue only a week after he performed Bartók's Piano Concerto No. 1, wining much praise from local daily Público.
The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation calls Kocsis "enigmatic, brilliant and hugely versatile...a true all-round musician" on its website.
