The Zsolnay mausoleum

Zsolnay has turned out the first of 42 replicas of lions made from the factory's special "pyrogranit" that will line the walk to the mausoleum where Vilmos Zsolnay, the company's founder, lies, local newspaper Új Dunántúli Napló reported on Tuesday.

The mausoleum itself is also undergoing a facelift. The tomb was looted in the 1950s and it has taken 50 years to clean up the mess, the paper wrote.

The mausoleum will be closed to visitors during the renovation.
