The Finno-Ugric Media Center, in Syktyvkar, Russia, said Estonian head of state Toomas Hendrik Ilves had confirmed he would participate at the congress in Siófok.
 
The Finno-Ugric Peoples International Consultative Committee announced that Hungarian President János Áder and Finnish President Sauli Niinistö had also said they would participate. The Office of the Russian President has not yet responded to the invitation, the committee added.
 
The four heads of states were sent invitations last year.
