Három évvel a Holokauszt Emlékközpont megnyitása és a Magyar Tudományos Akadémián tartott háromnapos konferencia után érdemes számba venni, hogy az újabb generáció mit tehet hozzá a holokauszt és genocídium tanulmányokhoz.
A Holokauszt Emlékközpontban 2007. március 28-31. között, "Az emancipációtól az emlékezésig" címmel megrendezett angol nyelvű konferencia célja az, hogy bemutasson újabb, a magyar zsidóság sorsával foglalkozó kutatásokat, ugyanakkor feltérképezze az új, interdiszciplináris megközelítési módokat is.
A szemináriumon 19 előadás hangzik el, hat témakörön belül. Az egyes panelek elnökéül a téma neves szakembereit kértük fel. A rendezvényt 2007. március 28-án, szerda este 6 órakor Konrád György író nyitja meg, majd a fogadást követően a résztvevők Dr. Tim Cole történész professzor (Bristol University, Nagy-Britannia) előadását hallgathatják meg.
