Before performances on both nights, the rising Hungarian literary star György Dragomán will read from his book The White King, and the Krétakör theatre company's Anna Lengyel will lead a reading of Father, or The Anatomy of a Murder by Csaba Mikó, with the participation of Volkstheater artists.
The Béla Pintér Company has performed its rendering of The Peasant's Opera, which premiered in Budapest's Szkéné Theatre in 2002, on many foreign stages to much acclaim. It mixes elements of Hungarian folk songs and Baroque music.
