13th SoloDuo Dance Festival Slated for January

English

This year?s festival features solo and duo performances from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Sweden and Austria as well as Hungary. The 34 productions were picked by a jury from about a hundred applications, some submitted via video and others performed live for the jury at venues in Hungary, Germany and Poland.

Each morning during the festival, the Mozdulatművészeti Stúdió will host workshops for dancers of all skill levels, from beginner to professional. Every evening, one-minute dance films will be shown at the MU Theatre in the framework of the Ork-Kota Platform 3.0 programme.

The winners of last year?s SoloDuo, Monika Castkova and Cansu Ergin, will each perform a solo premiere at the gala that closes this year?s festival.

For the first time, workshop participants will also be able to bring a short performance before an audience on the festival?s last day.
