The festival has grown to a large enough size, and now it needs to focus on improvements of quality, according to Károly Gerendai, the festival?s organiser.
Bands performing at this year?s festival, planned for August 9 ? 16, include big acts such as Radiohead, Scissor Sisters, Franz Ferdinand, Therapy?, Ministry, The Rasmus and Robert Plant.
In addition to music and other events on the festival?s 60 stages, there will be light shows and a "silent disco", where earplugs will be all the rage with the dancers.
Day tickets for this year?s festival will go for HUF 6,000 (EUR 23) apiece, and week-long passes, with campground access, will sell for HUF 24,000 (EUR 92) before June 15 and HUF 30,000 (EUR 115) thereafter. For the first time this year, weekly passes which do not include accommodation at the campground on the island, will be sold for an early booking price of HUF 20,000 (77 euros) or HUF 25,000 (96 euros) after June 15.
