Submissions will be accepted in the competition categories European Documentary Film, Ethnographical Film and Student Film. This year's festival will also include a separate category for Hungarian documentaries, allowing more Hungarian films to be screened than in previous years.
Dialektus is a European documentary festival, which aims to make documentary and anthropological film accessible to a wider audience, not just on television. The 2008 festival will take place over five days in March. In addition to providing a venue for filmmakers' works, the festival offers a lively programme of talks, concerts and photography exhibitions.
