56 Films In Focus In Paris

The festival, entitled ?Revolution, R?, was first shown in Brussels. It will take place in Paris on October 21?24. It will then travel to Bordeaux on October 30?November 11.

Director Mérta Mészáros? ?The Unburied Dead,? Károly Makk?s ?Love,? Péter Gothár?s ?Time Stands Still,? and ?Whooping Cough? will be the feature films in the programme, shown with documentaries including András Sólyom?s ?The Last Speech of János Kádár?, Miklós Gimes? ?Mutter?, Boglárka Edwy?s ?I was 12 in 56?, Zsuzsa Kőrösi?s ?Life Paths Crossed?, ?János Kádár and Imre Nagy?, and Péter Kassowitz?s ?Investigation in a Case of Kidnapping?.

After the evening screenings, audiences will have the opportunity to attend question-and- answer sessions with the filmmakers and guests, including historian Ferenc Fejtő, journalist András B. Vágvölgyi and producer Simon Shandor from Clavis Films. An exhibition of photographs from the archives of Budapest?s 1956 Institute and Austrian photographer Erich Lessing?s works will be on display at the venue.
