The volume, published by Alexandra Kiadó, contains Faludy?s writings and poetry about the 1956 Revolution and is rounded out by contributions from his second wife Zsuzsa. It includes pieces which first appeared in ?Irodalmi Újság?, a Hungarian literary journal which Faludy edited in London, about the days of the revolution, about Imre Nagy, Hungary?s prime minister at the time, and about international politics and literature.
György Faludy was one of Hungary?s greatest contemporary writers. Forced to flee his birthplace, first because of fascism, then because of communism, he spent much of his life abroad. Faludy died on September 1, 2006 at the age of 95.
