The series, which comes on the back of successful showcases of French (Tours de France) and Austrian (Noise From the Neighbours) bands, includes performances by Norway?s Hurra Torpedo, Movits from Sweden, the American-Norwegian trio Free Fall and Husky Rescue from Finland.
The Brit Jane Birkin, the one-time muse of French pop icon Serge Gainsbourg, will bring modern French chansons to the A38 at a show on January 22.
The British folk punk act Levellers are booked for an October 12 show at the venue.
The A38 completely revamped its video and recording technology in December, with the support of a European Union grant. The five-camera HD recording system allows high-quality rebroadcast of shows at the venue on public television.
The A38 will have limited opening hours between January 1 and 12 because of annual maintenance.
