This year the institute has invited Ágnes Enyedi, who studied under the folk singer Anna Vakler and the folk researcher Zoltán Kallós, to perform, accompanied by Dénes Juhász, at the music schools, she added.
Enyedi, who regularly travels to Transylvania to collect folk songs, released her first solo album in 2009.
The week will close with a concert at the Sibelius Academy, where Marko Ylönen, one of Finland's greatest cellists and a one-time student of the Hungarian Csaba Szilvay, will be among the performers.
