Professional press photographers could submit images taken any time during 2011 for this year?s contest.
The jury for this year?s contest includes Tony Hicks, Associated Press Europe and Africa photo editor; Marián Pauer, photo historian and department head of media studies at the University of Law in Bratislava; Radu Sigheti, Reuters Romania senior photographer; Péter Szalmás, an editor at Hungarian daily Népszava; and István Virágvölgyi of the Hungarian News Agency.
The winner of this year?s contest will be announced on January 26.
Awards will be presented at the opening of the 30th Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition at the Hungarian National Museum on March 23.
