Koreográfia Ég és Föld metszéspontjában. A Galothar, a 2000-ben alakult belga társulat több kisebb produkció után 2005-ben mutatta be első egész estés darabját, a Mudart. A darab a természet örökérvényű elveire és struktúrájára mutat rá, két esztétikailag is ellentétes erő, a káosz és a kozmosz megjelenítésével.
A Galothar és a flamand származású koreográfus, a brüsszeli P.A.R.T.S.-ban végzett Andy Deneys neve mára szinte összemosódik. A Deneys által megálmodott és a társulat által megvalósított koreográfiák rendkívüli fizikai erőnlétet és technikai virtuozitást megkövetelő darabok. Ismertetőjegyük, hogy - valamilyen elvont eszme vagy történet helyett - többnyire természeti jelenségeket leíró matematikai szabályszerűségekből táplálkoznak.
A Mudar című koreográfia első felében egy hosszú, dinamikus, ismétlésekre épülő crescendo-n keresztül figyelhetjük, hogyan válnak a természeti erők és a bennük rejlő energia a fejlődés alapköveivé. A négy táncos Michelangelót idéző reneszánsz stílusban matematikai törvényeket és szerkezeteket ültet át színpadi nyelvre, miközben a koreográfia egyre gyorsuló tempót diktál.
A második rész koreográfiája statikusabb, szoborszerűbb. Vihar utáni csend, mely az ürességben és a kezdetekben rejlő lehetőségeket járja körül. A táncosok teste a szemünk előtt válik csontok által összetartott húshalmazzá, hogy azután újra értelmezést nyerjen és rendszerbe foglaltasson. Deneys ebben a munkájában az emberi test mulandósága és az isteni szépség között húzódó szakadék áthidalására tesz kísérletet rendkívül vizionárius módon.
After its foundation in 2000 and a series of smaller productions, Galothar produced its first big production "Mudar" in 2005. "Mudar" is a choreography that visualizes universal principles and structures of natural phenomena. The choreography translates in two contrasting aesthetics the tension between two almost oppositional parts: the cosmos and the chaos.
The first part of the performance is a half an hour long crescendo that is an artistic translation of how nature creates evolution out of force or energy. Mathematical principles and structures are visualized by four dancers in the Renaissance style of Michelangelo. The second part of the performance is a static and sculptural choreography. It is the quiet after the storm, investigating the potential of emptiness and the beginning. The dancers' bodies are reduced to lumps of flesh that have to find meaning and organization again. The often distorted shapes seem to come out of the same universe of how Françis Bacon painted physics. Towards the end, the choreography seeks for synthesis between the energetic search for divine beauty and fleshly mortality.
Galothar is a dance company founded in 2000 in Brussels, Belgium in order to support the choreographic work of the young Flemish choreographer, Andy Deneys. The essence of the choreographic work of the company lies in the virtuosity of the choreography with a strong mathematical base that visualizes natural phenomena. The specific aesthetic world of Andy Deneys is based on movements asking both technical skills and strong physical condition from the dancers.
