The ministry has invited applications for the posts because the mandates of the current directors will soon expire. The mandates of the new directors will be for four years, with an option for a one-year extension, effective September 2008.
Applicants must have an in-depth knowledge of Hungarian culture and education, as well as of the foreign country's culture, education and language. Good communication, empathy and diplomatic skills are also needed.
The applications must include a plan outlining a strategy for the management of the institutions.
Applications will be evaluated by a committee commissioned by the Minister of Education and Culture. The minister will select the winning applicant within 30 days of the submission deadline.
