ARTE Gallery to Hold 23rd Graphics Auction

The auction will present graphics exhibited at the Józsefváros Gallery between 1976 and 1988. The works will be on display at the gallery until 18 March.

Józsefváros Gallery was formerly managed by artist János Fajó, who transformed it into a legendary venue which affected the careers of a number of important Hungarian artists, including Sándor Molnár, Tibor Csiky, Ilona Keserű, Tamás Hencze, András Mengyán, Ferenc Lantos, István Haraszty, Krisztina Jerger, Attila Joláthy, László Fábián and György Kévés. The auction catalogue will include a list of all the exhibitions -- along with participating artists -- organised by the gallery during the twelve-year period.

The Józsefvárosi Galéria is located at József körút 70 in Budapest?s District VIII. The exhibition is open for viewing from 10:00-19:00 every day from 12-18 March.
