Weiler approached the Hajtás Pajtás couriers with the idea of putting his "Elvis in Budapest" collection of post cards and posters on the back of couriers' backpacks.
"I've always watched the bicycle couriers that are always on the streets of Budapest, with their big orange backpacks filled with packages to deliver. I thought, wouldn't it be great if there could be an exhibition on their backs. They meet with hundreds of people a day, and thousands see them as they pedal. With their help, we could establish a mobile, living gallery," said Weiler.
Százszorkép is the publisher of the Elvis in Budapest postcards and postcards which show "the king" in various well known spots around the city, such as at the Citadella, near Erzsébet Bridge, in front of the entrance to the zoo, and with a Trabant.
"Százszorkép decided Weiler would start a series that presented the city differently though from the same point of view. Some colourful and very positive images were the result," said the publisher's creative director Viktor Lévai.
Proceeds from the sale of the postcards and posters will go to the Látó-tér Foundation's "tandem" programme in which people with sight take the blind cycling on tandems.
