Nyírbátor Music Days will take place over four consecutive weekends. On the programme are Parno Graszt, Ghymes, the Liszt Chamber Orchestra, the Erkel Woodwind Quintet, the Debrecen Kodály Choir and the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra.
The festival, in its 45th year, will open with a performance by the opera singer Krisztina Sinka in the courtyard of the city?s Minorite Church.
The Sivadó Family Chamber Ensemble will perform on August 6 and the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra on the following day.
On August 12, the Erkel Woodwind Quintet will play a concert in the Báthori Palace. Parno Graszt will take the venue on August 13.
Also on August 13, the city will host the International Woodwind Ensemble Conference, bringing musicians from all over Hungary as well Romania.
On the 19th, the Debrecen Kodály Choir will perform with the chorus of the Csokonai Theatre in Debrecen. Before the finale on the 20th, the Nyíregyháza Cantemus Choir and the Szablocs Symphony Orchestra will perform Liszt?s Coronation Mass.
