Marković?s records, sound tracks and concert tours in Europe and the US have firmly established his reputation as the ?King of the Balkan Trumpet?. The musician has come a long way since he started dreaming of forming his own band twenty-five years ago. Now, his son Marko, who recently celebrated his eighteenth birthday, has taken over as the 12-member band?s leader and soloist. But his father has by no means slipped into the background. Boban Marković still bewitches his audiences with his sound and powerful stage presence.
At the Palace of Arts, Marković and his band will be sure to play material from the soundtracks to the Emir Kusturica films ?Underground? and ?Black Cat, White Cat? which made the ensemble internationally famous. The band will be joined by the Hungarian folk singer Bea Palya as well as the singer Magdolna Rúzsa, the winner of the Megasztár talent-search show, who comes from the Hungarian-speaking province of Voivodina in Serbia.
Tickets are available for HUF 3,900 - HUF 6,900.
