The Italian virtuoso Aniello Desiderio is also returning to the shores of Lake Balaton this year.

The festival, which will be held for the seventh time on June 23-30, involves master classes as well as solo and chamber concerts in the mornings, and performances by world famous musicians in the evenings.

Eötvös said the festival?s annual budget was between six and ten million forints, adding that it received support from the embassies of Brazil, Poland and Italy as well as from the local council and other sponsors.

Last year, about 130 people participated in master classes at the festival. The concerts drew 3,000-4,000 people.
